Strata Data API Terms

Version 1.1

Effective: October 20, 2026

Last updated: October 31, 2026 (the Data API is now called Strata; contact address moved to stratafinance.ai)

These Data API Terms (these "API Terms") govern your use of the Strata Data API, API keys, and the portal pages used to request and manage a key. They are between you and Catalyst Finance, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Strata," "we," "us").

These API Terms supplement the Strata Terms of Service (https://stratafinance.ai/terms/) and the Strata Privacy Policy (https://stratafinance.ai/privacy/). If these API Terms conflict with the Terms on the subject of API keys or Data API requests, these API Terms control for that subject. Everything else in the Terms still applies, including the notices that Strata content is information only and is not investment advice (Section 4), the rules for connecting an external assistant (Section 6A), the limits on our liability (Section 12), and the binding individual arbitration agreement and class-action and jury-trial waiver (Section 13).

By sending an API access request, creating or using an API key, or calling the Data API, you agree to these API Terms and to the Terms. If you do not agree, do not request a key or call the API.

1. Approval

1.1 A key is not automatic. A Strata account does not include a Data API key. You request access and describe what you will build. Strata reviews the request and may grant it, decline it, or ask you to write again. We do not owe you a key, an explanation, or a decision by any particular time.

1.2 We can take access back. We may suspend or revoke API access at any time, including if a key is exposed, if use exceeds the limits we set, if the use does not match what you told us, or if we stop offering the API. Revoking access turns the key off. Copies of data you already received are your responsibility.

1.3 An older key. If you already have a Strata API key, you may keep using it under these API Terms. Keeping an older key is not a promise that access will continue.

2. Your key

2.1 Shown once. When a key is created or replaced, we show it once. Save it then. We store only a hash of the key, not a copy you can look up later.

2.2 Keep it secret. You are responsible for every request made with your key. Do not put the key in a chat, a public repository, a client-side application, a URL, or any place another person can read it. If the key is exposed, revoke or replace it in the portal and email [email protected].

2.3 One key, your account. The key belongs to your Strata account. Do not share it, sell it, or let someone else present it as their own. You may use it in software you operate for the use you described.

3. What the API provides

3.1 Information only. Data API responses are Strata content. They are generated or assembled by automated systems, may be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or outdated, and are not investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell anything. Section 4 of the Terms applies to every response, including numbers, targets, labels, and descriptions of companies or markets. You will independently verify anything you rely on.

3.2 No trading; your account data is read only. The Data API does not place trades, move money, or connect to a brokerage for the purpose of transacting. Where you turn on holdings access, a key can read your holdings and watchlists but cannot change them. If we turn on report generation for your key, a request may start a new Strata report; that report is Strata content under Section 3.1 and is subject to the limits in Section 3.4. An assistant you approve to edit your watchlists does so under Section 6A of the Terms, not through your key.

3.3 Holdings are optional. A key does not read your Strata holdings unless you turn that permission on in the portal. You can turn it off. Assistant connections, such as Claude or ChatGPT, are separate from the key and are governed by Section 6A of the Terms. Connecting an assistant does not require a key, and replacing a key does not by itself disconnect an assistant.

3.4 Limits. We set request limits. They may change. If you go over a limit, requests may be refused or delayed. We do not promise a particular rate, freshness, field, or endpoint.

4. Acceptable use

You may call the Data API only for the use you described, and only within these API Terms and the Terms. You may not:

5. Availability and changes

The Data API is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We make no service-level commitment. We may change, limit, or remove endpoints, fields, limits, or the API itself at any time. Section 12 of the Terms limits our liability for errors, interruptions, and changes.

6. Fees

Approved API access is currently provided without a separate fee. If we later charge for access, the fee applies only if you agree to it. Section 1.3 of the Terms also applies.

7. Privacy

We use your account details, the information in your access request, key hashes, permissions, and usage counts to review access, authenticate calls, enforce limits, and operate the service. The Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information. Optional holdings access is also described on the portfolio privacy page (https://api.catalystfinance.ai/portfolio-privacy.html).

8. Ending use

You may stop calling the API and revoke your key in the portal at any time. We may decline, suspend, or revoke access as described above. Ending API access does not by itself delete your Strata account. Deleting your Strata account is described in the Terms.
